Jim Lippman, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer: Jim Lippman founded JRK Property Holdings in 1991 and currently serves as its Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. From an initial purchase of five multifamily properties, JRK has grown to a national leader in the commercial real estate sector. In 2011, JRK was featured as the 25th largest Multifamily Owner and Manager in the U.S. by the National Multi Housing Council and ranked 27th in the nation by Multifamily Executive Magazine. JRK's real estate assets are valued at over $4 billion with over $400 million in annual revenue. JRK employs more than 1,200 professionals in operating its national portfolio of 47,000 multifamily units, boutique and flagged hotels, 1,800 storage units and 9 office buildings.
Prior to founding JRK, Jim was the managing director of the Signature Group, where he managed a $1 billion, diversified real estate portfolio that included direct and indirect ownership in commercial properties as well as various debt and equity securities. Jim also worked on Wall Street for many years where he traded equities, options and commodities for proprietary investment accounts<./p>
Jim earned a B.A. in Economics and Political Science from Union College, where he currently serves on the board. He currently resides in Brentwood with his wife and three children and has been actively involved in various philanthropy endeavors throughout the years including board membership on a number of local and national organizations.
Jay Schulman, President and Chief Financial Officer: Jay helped found JRK in 1991 and has held numerous positions within the organization during his 19-year tenure, including those in the accounting, asset management, and finance divisions. He currently serves as its Chief Financial Officer and is also a member of the firm's investment committee. Prior to JRK, Jay served as the Director of Asset Management at Executive Life and in various positions at The Shidler Group. Jay earned a B.S. in Accounting from Boston University and an M.B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles. He is also a certified public accountant.
John McKee, Executive Vice President: John helped found JRK in 1991 and currently serves as its Executive Vice President. He is responsible for overseeing the insurance, tax and legal divisions of the firm and is also a member of the firm's investment committee. Prior to JRK, John worked as an independent real estate consultant, an attorney at Linde Thomson and an accountant at Peat Warwick Mitchell & Co. Over the course of his real estate career, he has advised on the development of over 1,200 multifamily units and 210 single-family homes. John earned a B.S. in Business from the University of Kansas and a J.D. from Washburn University. He is also a certified public accountant.
Bobby Lee, President - JRK Investors: Bobby joined JRK in 2005 and currently serves as the President of JRK Investors, the investment division of the firm, and is also a member of the firm's investment committee. He has been responsible for sourcing and executing over $2 billion in commercial real estate acquisitions and dispositions during his tenure at JRK. Prior to JRK, Bobby was an investment banker at Lehman Brothers where he covered clients in the leveraged buyout and industrial sectors and was involved in raising over $1 billion from both the public and private equity markets. Bobby earned a B.A. in Economics from Pomona College.
Howard Heitner, President - JRK Residential Group: Howard joined JRK in 2010 and currently serves as the President of JRK Residential Group, the multifamily asset and property management division of the firm, and is also a member of the firm's investment committee. Immediately prior to JRK, Howard served as the Chief Operating Officer of SunAmerica Affordable Housing Partners, where he oversaw a multifamily portfolio consisting of over 1,300 properties. He previously served as a partner at O'Melveny & Myers where he specialized in real estate development. Howard earned a B.A. in Economics from Bucknell University and a combined J.D.-M.B.A. from the University of Chicago.
John Flannigan, President - JRK Hotel Group: John joined JRK in 2004 and currently serves as the President of JRK Hotel Group, the hotel asset and property management division of the firm. Prior to JRK, John served as the General Manager of the Hotel Giraffe in New York City and previously held positions with Wyndham Hotels in their sales and food & beverage divisions. John earned a B.S. in Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Management from Pennsylvania State University.
Tim Siegman, Chief Accounting Officer: Tim joined JRK in 2009 and currently serves as its Chief Accounting Officer. He is responsible for overseeing the accounting operations of JRK and its subsidiaries. Prior to JRK, Tim served as the Chief Accounting Officer at American Realty Advisors where he oversaw the accounting, tax and financial reporting operations. He previously served in various executive positions at Mills Corporation and Westfield, as well as an audit manager for Kenneth Leventhal & Company. Tim earned a B.S. in Business Administration from California State University Northridge. He is also a certified public accountant.
Lauretta Collins, Executive Vice President - JRK Residential Group: Lauretta joined JRK in 2002 and currently serves as the Executive Vice President of JRK Residential Group. Together with Will Pierce and Tom Manzo, she is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of JRK's multifamily portfolio. She also oversees JRK's regional maintenance team. Prior to joining JRK, Lauretta served as a regional vice president at JMG and a vice president at Ruth & Associates. In addition to her experience in asset and property management, she has overseen numerous multi-million dollar renovation projects, as well as new construction projects. Over the course of 20-year career in the multifamily industry, she has participated in the due diligence on over $1 billion of properties.
Will Pierce, Senior Vice President - JRK Residential Group: Will joined JRK in 2006 and currently serves as a Senior Vice President of JRK Residential Group. Together with Lauretta Collins and Tom Manzo, he is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of JRK's multifamily portfolio. Prior to his position as Senior Vice President, he held numerous positions in asset management and acquisitions at JRK, including participating in the due diligence on over $1 billion of properties. Will earned an A.B. in English from Dartmouth College.
Tom Manzo, Senior Vice President - JRK Residential Group: Tom joined JRK in 2008 and currently serves as a Senior Vice President of JRK Residential Group. Together with Lauretta Collins and Will Pierce, he is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of JRK's multifamily portfolio. Prior to his position as Senior Vice President, he held numerous positions in asset management and acquisitions at JRK. Tom earned an A.B. in Economics from Dartmouth College.
